Dried fruit is very high in sugar so the less you add the better. Cutting fresh fruit like bananas or berries onto your muesli when you have it in the morning can make it sweeter if you have a sweet tooth. Serve with natural yoghurt and honey, skim or soya milk.

Ingredients:


• 3 1/2 cups rolled oats,
• 1/2 cup rolled wheat
• 1/2 cup wheatgerm,
• 1 cup coconut,
• 1/2 cup milk powder,
• 1/2 cup honey,
• 1 teaspoon vanilla essence,
• 3 tablespoons safflower oil.
• 4 cups assorted dried fruit,
• Sunflower and sesame seeds.

Method:


1. Toast wheat and oats in hot oven 5-10 minutes shaking every 2 minutes
2. Add wheatgerm, coconut, milk powder, honey, vanilla essence and safflower oil.
3. Add 4 cups assorted dried fruit with sunflower and sesame seeds.
4. Store in sealed jar in fridge.
