In an ideal world we should eat our evening meal before 7 pm. This is because our digestion is still going strong, and so proteins and carbohydrates are more easily digested. The rule here is that if you are eating protein, combine it with a fresh salad or raw vegetable. The enzymes in the 'living foods' help to digest protein. The best ratio for portion size is one-third protein to a two-thirds combination of vegetables and carbohydrate. There are many ways that this combination can be put together and here we share some ideas
